Develop computational methods to optimize metabolic flux through sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways.

Create experimental workflows to perform fermentation and collect data.

Collaborate frequently with the Synthetic Biology and Polymer Chemistry teams to optimize sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in the production strains.

Communicate methods and results both internally with the team and externally with other scientists, industry executives, and academic researchers.
​

Contribute to the generation and documentation of intellectual property

Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Chemical or Biological Engineering, Fermentation, or related fields.
​

3+ years of research experience in an academic or industry lab setting.
​

Skilled in fermentation, and computational methods such as FBA, COBRA, and OptFlux.
-
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
​

Metabolomic data analysis expertise.
​

Experience in synthetic biology and sugar polymer biosynthesis is a plus.
