What You’ll Do

Design, build, and test libraries of modular sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways.

Create experimental workflows and collect quantitative measurements, including GPC, SEC, DSC, HPLC, and FTIR.

Collaborate frequently with the Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology teams to optimize sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in the production strains.
​

Communicate methods and results both internally with the team, and externally with other scientists, industry executives, and academic researchers.
​

Contribute to the generation and documentation of intellectual property

Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Material Science, or related fields.

3+ years of research experience in an academic or industry lab setting.

Skilled in organic chemistry and polymer characterization techniques.

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Quantitative data analysis expertise.
​

Experience in biological engineering and microbial culture is a plus.
