What You’ll Do

Design, build, and test libraries of microbial cells for diverse sugar polymer production.

Create experimental workflows and collect quantitative measurements, including flow cytometry, omics, and structural analysis.

Collaborate frequently with the Metabolic Engineering and Polymer Chemistry teams to optimize sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in the production strains.
​

Communicate methods and results both internally with the team, and externally with other scientists, industry executives, and academic researchers.
​

Contribute to the generation and documentation of intellectual property

Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biological Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related fields.

3+ years of research experience in an academic or industry lab setting.

Skilled in molecular biology, genome editing, microbial culture techniques.

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Quantitative data analysis expertise.
​

Experience in -omics, analytical techniques, and software development is a plus.
